Netflix Expands Massive Young Adult Slate for 2026
The streaming leader announces new series, casting updates, and a massive slate of coming-of-age content.

LOS ANGELES. Netflix is significantly expanding its footprint in young adult entertainment, announcing a wave of new series greenlights, casting updates, and returning fan-favorite titles.
“Netflix is the ultimate destination for Young Adult entertainment, telling stories that speak to anyone who has ever navigated first loves, big risks, or moments that shape who you become. As we gear up for our biggest YA slate yet, we are bringing authentic storytelling that resonates with audiences and delivers fresh global perspectives.”
Topping the new announcements are two major scripted series: the gothic romance and supernatural mystery Sid and Zoey, from creators Jon Kasdan and John Shiban alongside Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Bad Robot, and Sunshine Girls, a suburban California drama debuting in December. In addition, Netflix confirmed that Randall Park is joining the cast of the upcoming teen series Minimum Wage, and that Season 2 of Finding Her Edge will begin production later this month.
The streaming giant's commitment to the genre is backed by massive global engagement. Since 2023, young adult series and films have driven over 10.5 billion global views on the platform, appearing in the Global Top 10 over 90 percent of the time this year alone.
