VRE7 TV: Our Story

Your Front Row Seat to Pop Culture.

Every story needs an origin, and ours starts with a name. VRE7 stands for Visual Renaissance Experience 7, and when we launched in 2008, those words captured our whole vision in one name. Visual, because we’re obsessed with premium aesthetics. Renaissance, for the exciting new era of digital media we saw on the horizon in the early days of new media. Experience, because we didn’t want you watching from the outside; we wanted you in the room with us, experiencing our content with visual appeal. And 7, a number that’s always carried meaning: completion, purpose, a spiritual grounding from our upbringing.

We were a collective before we were a company and a powerhouse friend group. Red carpet and celebrity photographer KJ Anderson. Spoken word artist Kia McClain, who had over 88K followers on MySpace. PR and fashion expert Elliot Carlyle. Choreographer and live TV dancer Terrence Thompson. Four creatives who believed in one simple idea: we were fans first, and we wanted to share our love for the entertainment industry. So that’s what we built: a platform where proximity to the culture was the whole point, and the artists, the fashion, and the milestones did the talking. We also blogged and gave our audience interactive experiences, from contests to taking their questions to the red carpet and one-on-one interviews.

The Hollywood Expansion

Then digital media grew up, and so did we. After a brief hiatus, founder KJ Anderson packed up for Los Angeles and relaunched VRE7 from the heart of the industry itself. That’s when things opened up so much more. We were in the room at Los Angeles Fashion Week and top industry gifting suites, catching direct-to-camera drops and interviews with a roster that ranged from global icons like 50 Cent to cast members from Scandal, America’s Next Top Model, and Basketball Wives, alongside Broadway veterans and the Nickelodeon and MTV faces you grew up watching. VRE7 became a real fixture on the Hollywood circuit, and the archives from that era still stand as proof of the relationships we built along the way.

The Network Evolution

Now we’re writing the next chapter. VRE7 has evolved from an independent blog into a video-first destination: VRE7 TV.

Solely helmed today by founder KJ Anderson, whose background spans journalism, PR, and filmmaking, the platform has stepped into a premium broadcast format. We’re pairing our legacy archival drops with highly produced, in-house entertainment documentaries, video essays, and live event coverage that has already put us on the ground for stadium tours from Beyoncé to the Backstreet Boys. This is VRE7 TV, built for you, the modern pop culture fan.

Whether we’re breaking the biggest headlines of the day or pulling you onto the red carpet with us, our focus never wavers: premium, fan-focused coverage made with you in mind. As we keep growing, one promise carries through every chapter of this story. The talent always takes center stage, and you always get a front-row seat.
