LOS ANGELES. Netflix is cementing its commitment to the California creative economy, announcing that more than 45 film and television productions are already confirmed to film primarily in Los Angeles throughout 2026.

While others are pulling back, we are investing more and keeping the city's creative economy working on stories that travel the globe. Los Angeles is an incredibly important place for film and television production, and we are committed to keeping it one of our core production hubs in the US.

The streaming giant's localized production slate serves as a massive financial anchor for the region. In 2025 alone, Netflix partnered with over 2,900 distinct Los Angeles County based businesses, ranging from equipment houses and caterers to post production shops. This extensive collaboration injected over $400 million directly into the local economy. The 2026 slate continues this momentum, with the studio utilizing the city's diverse topography and experienced crews to film major projects like the Will Ferrell comedy The Hawk and the acclaimed drama Nemesis.

Beyond the economic impact, Netflix is turning the city itself into a recurring character. Fan favorite returning series like The Lincoln Lawyer and Nobody Wants This weave iconic local neighborhoods and restaurants directly into their storytelling, keeping Los Angeles front and center for a global audience.
