BMAC and Live Nation Grow Next Wave of Music Leaders
Twenty rising professionals traded classrooms for concert stages, gaining real access to the business behind the music.

LOS ANGELES, CA. Twenty aspiring music professionals just wrapped a hands on week with the Black Music Action Coalition and Live Nation, completing BMAC LIVE's third cohort and unlocking real paths to paid internships in live entertainment.
“The next generation has the knowledge, resources, and relationships they need. The program isn't a one time gesture, it's something BMAC and Live Nation keep building year after year, with each new class adding to a growing community already opening doors across the industry.”
This year's cohort brings the program's total impact to 60 emerging professionals since it launched three years ago. Participants spent the week getting a real look at how a live show actually comes together, sitting in on conversations with Live Nation leaders across booking, marketing, ticketing, and fan experience, and hearing candid career stories from executives at companies including Parkwood Entertainment, Interscope Records, Creative Artists Agency, and Category 1 Entertainment. One standout moment came from Live Nation's Ticketing Director, Patricia Moore, who opened up about her own path from coordinator to director, tracing her career through work with artists like Brian McKnight, Slipknot, Ne-Yo, and Akon before landing on stadium tours.
The cohort didn't just listen; they got their hands dirty too. Working in teams, participants pitched their own original music festivals, mapping out everything from sponsorships to fan experience. They also spent a full day at The Belasco, working directly with production crews on lighting, audio, and soundcheck, the kind of behind-the-scenes work that makes a live show actually happen. For a program built on turning access into real opportunity, it's proof the model keeps working, and keeps growing.
